Rugged scottish landscape | fine italian reds

The Newhall Mains weekend brought two of our own historic estates north, setting Palladino on the table on Friday and Cerbaia on Saturday, against the wild backdrop of the Scottish Highlands. We based ourselves at Newhall Mains, pairing classic Italian wines with the raw beauty of the landscape. Evenings were built around wine paired dinners, opening bottles slowly and properly. Days unfolded with mushroom foraging in the surrounding countryside, time outdoors, and a Negroni masterclass that carried us neatly into the night. Italian tradition, Highland setting, and the kind of shared rhythm that turns a weekend into something memorable.
