diego rivetti | serralunga d’alba, piedmont

Diego Rivetti is one of the most exciting emerging names in the Langhe, working quietly from some of the most serious ground in Serralunga d’Alba. His vineyards sit close to Vigna Rionda MGA, widely regarded as one of the finest parcels of viticultural land in Italy. This proximity is not just geographic. The wines share the depth, authority, and natural structure associated with this exceptional zone.

Rivetti works from tiny parcels and produces only a few thousand bottles each year. Scale is deliberately limited, allowing absolute focus in both vineyard and cellar. His approach is neo-classical, rooted in tradition but guided by precision rather than force. The wines are shaped by long-term balance and site expression, not extraction or polish.

His Nebbiolo is intense, complex, and broad in shape, yet firmly controlled. Dark fruit, savoury spice, and mineral tension are framed by serious tannin structure, a clear reflection of Serralunga’s iron-rich soils and natural power. These are wines with presence and longevity, but also clarity and definition.

We import Diego Rivetti exclusively in the UK because his wines align closely with our philosophy. Small production, elite terroir, and a disciplined hand result in Nebbiolo that speaks clearly of where it comes from. Rivetti represents a new generation working at a very high level, without noise or compromise.
